Brian D. O'Neill, the firm's founding lawyer, has over three decades of legal experience. His practice is focused on representing individuals, families and businesses in a variety of immigration, business law and employment matters. His broad experience representing people individually, and as the general counsel for a major industrial and aerospace defense company, provides him with the knowledge and ability not just to handle an immediate crisis, but to develop effective strategies for his clients that will protect their long term interests in each of his practice areas. He is a very capable litigator and negotiator.

Practice Area: Immigration

• Family Immigration: The firm assists families in filing alien relative petitions, fiancée and overseas spouse petitions, adjustments of status, waivers, spousal abuse petitions, advance parole applications, employment authorization applications, and the complex problem of handling family-based applications while removal (deportation) proceedings are pending in immigration court.
• Asylum Representation: O'Neill represents individuals seeking asylum and related relief in the United States, either affirmatively or defensively.
• Alien Criminal Defense: O'Neill helps aliens accused of criminal violations to minimize the immigration consequences of the charges by working hand in glove with their criminal defense attorneys while their cases are pending in federal or state court. He also provides direct advice and counsel to aliens with convictions on vital questions about foreign travel, whether or not to file new immigration applications, the real usefulness of expungements, and many other matters. Finally, if the immigration service is seeking to "remove" (deport) an alien O'Neill will directly handle the deportation defense in immigration court.
• Consular Processing: When immigration matters cannot be resolved in the U.S., O'Neill will represent you before the U.S. State Dept. in "consular processing."
• Business Immigration Law: The firm represents businesses and individuals in a variety of business immigration and work visa settings.
• Immigration Issues for Employees: Employees have protections under the law that immigration-only practitioners frequently do not appreciate. By the same token employment-only attorneys are often unaware of the special concerns of foreign workers, documented or undocumented. O'Neill's practice in immigration and employment law gives him the ability to see employment issues from all angles relevant to employees (and their employers).
